Juno trailer analysis by Ricki Suri

1. Number of shots used: 105.

The young pregnant girl is a direct relation to our production. The theme of young pregnancy connotes promiscuous lives lead by irresponsible young people. This is explicitly emphasised when the young girls stomach is zoomed in on by the camera, and when it is made the main focus of the camera- when the baby scan is being done.

Clothing used is shown to be everyday easy clothes which are worn by stereotypical teenagers at all times. Although the clothes worn by the 'father of the baby' are some what uncommon are almost stupid. this is connoted when he is shown to be in a serous frame of mind, but is dressed in tight shorts and a hoody. The setting used- households, and the props used also resemble everyday life, for example, lamps, sofa's, flowers and cars. These re very common props to own by the average household including a mode of transport.

It is a Teen Movie, and of Hollywood production aimed at 16-25 year old females, this is because the females are able to identify with the protagonist. In relation to our production- we wish to raise awareness of teenage pregnancy and its downfalls, for example, lack of education and financial support. We also aim to educate young females of the same age (16-25) why having safe sexual intercourse is no laughing matter due to killing diseases.
