For our teen comedy film trailer, the codes and coventions of teen films was a crucial area we needed to cover, so the our teen comedy is classified as ''teen comedy'.

We looked at the lighting, sound, mise-en- scene, and the characters within a teen comedy film.
Stereotypes is a given, in many teen films, and our decision to have streotypical characters was purely chosen through the fact that many succesful teen comedies have their own streotypical charatcers and it is a way in which audience can identify them easily and can possibly relate to.

The streotypical characters in many Teen Comedy Films s the:
The Jock
The Princess/ Thee Plastic
The Geek
The Rebel
The Girl next door
The Boy next door
The Misfit/Outcast
and The New Girl

We have tried to put this concept of streotypes in our teen comedy film trailer, as it will be more affective and succesful. With streotypes, there are themes such as 'Prom', 'losing virginity', 'parties' and this is all under an American pop-culture, as many Teen comedies are Hollywood produced.

Furthermore, the plot in many Teen Comedy Films are to do with teennage interests, love, sex, rebellion or conflict with parents and so all these, codes, conventions, and themes have been well regarded when planning and thinking about our own Teen Comedy Trailer.
