Our Teen Comedy Film will commit to other very successful teen films combining the cultural diversion in ‘Bend it like Beckham’ and the awkwardly witty humour in ‘Juno’ the pregnant teenager.
‘SCREW’d’ will take teenage pregnancy in a new and light-hearted way, somewhat deceiving it from being a ‘worrying problem in Britain’, condemning any seriousness, to do with teenage pregnancy.
The traditional and cultural influences within the narrative will be from the protagonist’s Asian family which understandably disapproves teenage pregnancy, however the families naivety and dim-witted trust in Jenny, results in them not knowing about the pregnancy until later.
